Most modern light fixtures have, in recent days, moved from detached objects to permanent locations on the ceilings or walls. However, standing floor lamps have always been a huge aspect of modern design lighting. Often stashed brilliantly in the corner of the room or to the side of a piece of elegant furniture, floor lamps have the tendency to shower the room in crisp, directed beams.
Luckily, trying to decide between a room with a permanent light fixture or a standing floor lamp is a false dichotomy. The portability of floor lamps allow for easy addition or retraction in any room.
